PASTA II – Perfect Gnocchi Thursday, August 5, 2010, 6-9 PM
Perfect for those who participated in our Pasta I Class, our advanced pasta class will focus on creating special pastas & sauces – both Provencale and Italian including white, red and other colors. Gnocchi (did you know there were so many kinds?) and the lightest summer Provencale lasagnas. Learn combinations of pasta types and sauces. A hands-on class limited to seven participants.

(Must have attended a previous Chez Ducrot class!)
Philippe Ducrot learned his first culinary lessons at his mother’s knee. Odette “Maggie” Ducrot was a gifted cook in her own right. Enjoy a sentimental trip through her kitchen as Philippe reminisces about his family table and shares the specialty dishes his mother was famous for: Les Alouettes sans Tetes, Soupe de Poisson, le Thon à la Tomate et aux Capres and her classic Soupe au Pistou. A hands-on class for only seven participants.

A SUMMER EVENING IN PROVENCE – Thursday August 12, 2010, 6-10 PM
If you’ve been on the Provence Discovered Tour with us, you know what we’re talking about. The slow living, cooling under the mimosa trees, clank of Petanque balls as they hit on the court, dining in the open air, hot, sensual evenings with a glass of Rosé and great food. These are the sights, sounds and tastes you’ll experience during an evening in Provence – and we’re bringing them to your doorstep. Learn summer specialty dishes to create your own evening in Provence: la poichichade, la bourride, poulet au thym, la brandade, pissaladière, ailoi, mouru en raito, moules à la crème de ciboulette; flan de courgette. During this class, Philippe will take you on a tour of Provencale history, lifestyle and cuisine. He will select from these dishes and more to provide you with two menus and recipes to create the perfect evening in Provence. A hands-on class for only seven participants.
